Engineering Project Manager

Role Description The Engineering Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Corona, CA. This role oversees engineering and construction-related projects from planning through closeout, ensuring technical quality, safety, schedule adherence, and budget control. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project scopes, assigning and directing engineering and field staff, reviewing design and inspection documents, and managing client communication and expectations. The Engineering Project Manager prepares and reviews proposals and reports, tracks project progress and costs, resolves technical and logistical issues, and works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. This position also supports continuous improvement of project management processes and contributes to maintaining GeoTek’s standards for service and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Engineering Management and Project Engineering to oversee technical deliverables and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and budget tracking for multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience in Construction Management and Construction activities, with familiarity in field operations, inspections, and coordination with contractors and owners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are desirable.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and/or special inspection practices is a plus.
• Proficiency with project management and engineering software tools, and strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and field personnel.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
