Engineering, Research & Development Engineer

About the role

This role involves developing and improving new and existing products based on customer needs, market trends and industry standards. You will conduct research, feasibility studies and testing for new products, materials and technologies, while improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, product quality and cost effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve new and existing products based on customer needs, market trends and industry standards
• Conduct research, feasibility studies and testing for new products, materials and technologies
• Improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, product quality and cost effectiveness
• Provide technical support to production and troubleshoot technical issues
• Ensure products, processes and R&D activities comply with ISO, quality and regulatory requirements
• Prepare technical documents, product specifications, test reports and R&D records
• Plan and monitor R&D projects to ensure timely completion
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Sales & Marketing and other departments on product and process improvements
• Liaise with universities, research institutions, suppliers and industry partners for research and innovation projects
• Support the implementation of digital tools, data analysis and new technologies to improve operations

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
• Experience in R&D, product development, manufacturing or engineering
• Knowledge of concrete products, construction materials or manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with different departments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of engineering/design or data analysis software
• Willing to travel or work on-site when required
