Engineering Section Head

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Section Head (Metal Fabrication) to lead our engineering operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure excellence in productivity, product quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing engineering activities, developing team capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage engineering operations, ensuring achievement of departmental KPIs and business objectives.
2. Oversee engineering activities, including new product introduction (NPI), RFQ, Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and manufacturing cycle time.
3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, product quality, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
4. Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team to ensure high performance and continuous skill development.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations, timely project delivery, and customer satisfaction.
6. Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve manufacturing processes through Lean Manufacturing principles.
7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
8. Manage engineering resources, equipment, and tools to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Sheet Metal or Metal Fabrication industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication processes and manufacturing operations.
• Experience in engineering management, process improvement, and project management.
• Knowledge of RFQ, BOM, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement is an advantage.
