Engineering Supervisor

Supervise, train, and inspect the performance of engineering staff ensuring that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards. Work closely with Engineering Director in scheduling work and setting priorities. Also supervise and responsible for the department in the absence of Engineering Director and act as the backup for calls when there are emergencies. Responsible for aspects of the engineering department to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment. Develop, coordinate and monitor the rooms maintenance program to guarantee the safety and comfort of all staff and guests.

• Managing the maintenance budget
• Maintaining inventory records

Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent in years of experience as a supervisor.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Good knowledge of performance evaluation procedures
• Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise is a plus.
• Monitoring maintenance and repair activities.
• Painting designated areas and items.
• Performing minor plumbing functions.
• Installing and replacing basic electrical fixtures.
• Replacing and repairing heating and cooling pumps.
