We love individuality - it’s what brings the spark, the curiosity, and the human touch to every interaction.

Role Overview:

As an Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate maintenance operations within one of our Edinburgh hotels, ensuring our facilities remain safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards. • Ensure compliance with Health Safety, Fire Safety, Legionella, and statutory maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all tasks are recorded and tracked through the Logit system.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee external contractors, reviewing RAMS and ensuring Permit to Work procedures are followed.
  • Support energy efficiency and environmental initiatives within the hotel.
  • Work collaboratively with the Cluster Lead Engineer, hotel management teams, and the FM Helpdesk to deliver an outstanding maintenance service.

About You:

You are an experienced maintenance professional with a strong technical background and a passion for leading others. You enjoy solving problems, take pride in maintaining high standards, and are committed to creating a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike. As a natural leader, you'll lead by example, developing those around you whilst ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.

Key Skills Experience:

  • Qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline, or a trade qualification supported by relevant maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience within a facilities, engineering, or maintenance environment.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading maintenance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance and building maintenance operations.
  • Excellent understanding of Health Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to achieve this.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
  • Confident using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments and with contractors.
