Support and develop the team's laser scanning capabilities, including field data collection, processing and knowledge sharing.

Monitor basement and ground-floor slabs for deflection and settlement.

Monitor structures for differential vertical shortening between building cores and external structures/envelopes.

Monitor existing and adjacent structures for deflection, deformation and movement associated with construction activities.

Carry out as-built surveys throughout shell & core construction and, where required, during fit-out phases.

Undertake topographical surveys to support development teams, designers, engineers and architects.

Provide AutoCAD and drawing support to assist with project coordination and interfaces.

Register, coordinate and manage incoming survey requests.

Check survey computations and compile survey information prior to approval and issue.

Oversee the calibration of surveying equipment and maintain appropriate calibration records.

Ensure surveying equipment and supplies are maintained, checked and ordered when required.

Work closely with project teams, trade contractors, consultants and other internal and external stakeholders.

Provide technical guidance, training and support to Assistant Engineering Surveyors.

Carry out other reasonable surveying and project-related duties as required by senior management.

Working Relationships

The Engineering Surveyor will work closely with senior members of the surveying team and wider project management function.

You will collaborate with Assistant Engineering Surveyors to ensure surveys are completed accurately, to the required standards and within agreed timescales.

The position requires strong working relationships with project personnel, trade contractors, consultants, designers and other stakeholders involved in major construction projects.

Health, Safety & Welfare

Safety is central to all construction and surveying activities.

The successful candidate will be expected to understand and discharge their responsibilities in relation to health, safety and welfare, ensuring surveying activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and project procedures.

Candidates should have a good understanding of the Building Safety Act and associated regulations and be confident working within highly controlled construction environments.

Environmental, Social & Governance

The successful candidate will be expected to support the organisation's wider ESG objectives, including environmental compliance, waste reduction, sustainability and positive engagement with the surrounding community.

Quality Management

All surveying activities must be undertaken in accordance with relevant quality management systems and procedures.

The successful candidate will support compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and ensure appropriate procedures, plans, documentation and electronic document management systems are followed.
