Engineering Surveyor

About the role

Our workload includes a major long-term project with a Tier 1 company and several additional projects with Tier 2 and Tier 3 companies, providing a steady stream of ongoing work.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor for a full-time role supporting civil infrastructure and utility projects across South East Queensland, primarily around Logan and Redland Bay. Registered Associate or, the ability to acquire, with the Surveyors Board of Queensland is preferred.

The role includes engineering and civil works set-out, detailed and as-constructed surveys. Ability to process and quality check your work. Also, establishing survey control networks, managing your own projects under direction and client interaction expected.

Key responsibilities

· Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications

· Review as-constructed survey data for accuracy and completeness

· Liaise with project teams, contractors and clients to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies

· Maintain accurate and detailed survey records; follow project quality and safety requirements

· Undertake field surveys for engineering set-out, construction pre-pour verification and as-constructed records

· Assist with preparing redline drawings, ADAC files and CAD plans where skills and experience allow

About you

You will bring:

· Registration as an Associate with the Surveyors Board of Queensland or working towards

· Relevant surveying qualifications and a minimum of five years’ engineering surveying experience

· Strong attention to detail and sound surveying judgement

· The ability to work independently, manage priorities and communicate clearly

· The right to work in Australia

· A current Open driver’s licence (Qld) and Construction Industry Card (Qld)

· Experience using scanning and drone equipment and software, or a willingness to learn

· Availability to attend project sites across South East Queensland as required

Experience looked upon favourably

· Broad experience with engineering and civil infrastructure

· Using Trimble surveying equipment, Trimble Business Center, CAD, ADAC workflows and 12d

· Ability to work autonomously

· Strong communications skills

Pay: $77,000.00 – $142,000.00 per year
