Engineering Technician

Type: Full-Time
Base Pay: $55,000 to $75,000, depending on experience
Location: Klamath Falls, Oregon

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position involves working on a team to plan and design a variety of utility, site development, water resources, and transportation projects. The Engineering Technician will assist Project Engineers/Managers in developing studies, reports, construction cost estimates, design drawings, and technical specifications for public agency and private infrastructure projects. Involvement in project permitting and construction engineering is also anticipated. Project sites will be located primarily in southern Oregon.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. The applicant will be able to obtain Engineering Intern status in Oregon within one year of employment. Experience with water and wastewater systems, streets, water resources, and stormwater systems is preferred. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed to interact with design staff, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D software is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
