Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer

Position Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer to support engineering, manufacturing, and quality activities. This is a multidisciplinary position for someone who enjoys working with CNC equipment, CAD/CAM software, engineering drawings, inspection, and process improvement.

The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a small, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 2D CNC equipment
• Program and operate laser cutting equipment
• Create, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code
• Use CAD/CAM software to support manufacturing operations
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications
• Apply GD&T requirements during manufacturing and inspection
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Verify manufactured parts meet engineering and customer requirements
• Complete inspection and quality documentation
• Assist with materials testing and manufacturing process improvements
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
• Support continuous improvement projects

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Experience writing and editing G-Code
• Experience performing First Article Inspections
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot problems in a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Preferred Experience

• Laser cutting or laser CNC programming experience
• BobCAD experience
• AutoCAD experience
• SolidWorks experience
• AS9100 or AS9120 quality experience
• AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation experience
• Net-Inspect experience
• Python programming experience
• C or C++ programming experience
• Engineering degree or related technical education

An engineering degree is preferred but not required for candidates with strong hands-on CNC, manufacturing, programming, and quality experience.
