Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician/ Test Engineer (Electro Mechanical)

Contract, minimum 6 months+ extendable

Location - Fremont, California (onsite only)

Experience – 5+ to 8 years relevant experience (experience cannot go beyond 8 to 10 years, literally).

Mandatory Experience:

• Associate's Degree in an Engineering (Hardware) related field.

• 5+ years of experience working with semiconductor systems.

• Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly techniques.

• Experience using lab equipment such as multimeter, dial indicator, caliper, laser measurement tool.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

• Ability to set up test, propose test plan, collect and analyze data.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations for creating slides and reports

Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical research and analysis to support engineering projects.

• Take part in Design, develop, build and test systems, equipment or components using specialized software and tools.

• Build and test prototypes of products or systems to evaluate performance and identify design problems.

• Collect and analyze data from experiments, tests, and fieldwork to identify trends and anomalies.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications.

• Provide technical support to engineers and other project team members, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Collaborate with other technical professionals, including engineers, scientists, and designers, to develop and implement solutions to technical challenges.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the engineering field.

• Role will focus on current project and system integration. Create and maintain build schedules aligned with project milestones . Track and manage materials and conduct regular progress meetings. Assemble modules, integrate systems, develop build process and resolve build-related issues.

• Additionally, will provide project support for upcoming demo tool by working with Engineering to identify delta and retrofit parts, develop and manage build schedules to meet project deadlines ad retrofit systems and resolve issues.
