Schedule: Hybrid

Contract: Approximately 7 months with potential extension

Compensation: $41.04/hr W2

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support an engineering lab environment with test equipment setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, data collection, and lab operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong electronics and electro-mechanical experience who can work independently, manage technical service requests, and provide excellent support to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, tear down, maintain, and troubleshoot test boards and lab equipment.
• Deploy and reconfigure test setups based on engineering requests and procedures.
• Collect test data and track critical lab metrics.
• Perform equipment inventory, calibration checks, and routine maintenance.
• Configure and repair electro-mechanical assemblies using BOMs, drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams .
• Perform soldering and PCBA rework on SMT, through-hole, wire, terminal, and fine-pitch components.
• Troubleshoot wiring, connectivity, and test setup issues.
• Support environmental chamber operation and testing.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and ESD-compliant lab environment.
• Communicate with engineers and internal customers to address technical requests and issues.

Education & Experience:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field OR 4+ years of equivalent hands-on experience.
• Relevant experience may include an engineering lab, data center environment, electronics/test environment, or field service technician role .

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on electronics and/or electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Soldering and PCBA rework experience.
• Experience with SMT, through-hole, wires, terminals, and fine-pitch components .
• Experience supporting environmental chamber operation .
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, schematics, and diagrams.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs .

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), signal generators, and signal analyzers .
• Ability to read schematics, BOMs, drawings, and technical documentation .
• Experience connecting test equipment to a DUT (Device Under Test) .
• Basic knowledge of Unix, Windows, and networking .
• Familiarity with enterprise switches and routers .
• General test instrumentation hardware/software knowledge.
• Experience with equipment calibration, inventory, and ESD procedures.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF documentation.
