Engineering Technician - Contractor

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician - Contractor for a Contract job with a client in Malabar, FL . The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic troubleshooting, production testing, fault isolation, and diagnostic analysis, along with the ability to work independently while supporting production and depot test operations.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $33/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineering Technician - Contractor Job Responsibilities Include

• Support production and depot test operations by performing troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, and fault isolation activities on electronic systems and assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical documentation, and test procedures to support testing and repair activities.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment including digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related test equipment to identify and isolate failures to the component level.
• Work closely with engineering teams to optimize test procedures, improve troubleshooting methods, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Execute testing and troubleshooting activities with minimal supervision while adhering to established processes, quality standards, and operational requirements.
• Document findings, communicate technical issues, and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering personnel to support timely resolution of product and process issues.

Desired Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six years of relevant electronics testing, troubleshooting, repair, or engineering technician experience, or an Associate Degree with a minimum of two years of related experience.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting electronic systems and performing component-level fault isolation using industry-standard diagnostic equipment.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, depot repair, aerospace, defense, electronics, or other technical production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with National Instruments TestStand and automated test environments.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems in testing, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
• Experience supporting production test systems, depot repair operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience working within aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
