Driven by innovation, purpose, and a commitment to improving lives, we are expanding our portfolio of solutions to serve even more patients, healthcare providers, and communities around the world.

As part of our Engineering team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of highly automated manufacturing equipment used to produce products that make a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys working with advanced automation, continuous improvement, and preventative maintenance systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working alongside Operations, Reliability, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, you will help maximise equipment performance, improve reliability, and drive maintenance excellence across our production operations.

What You'll Do

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance activities across state-of-the-art automated assembly and manufacturing equipment.
  • Support equipment reliability by identifying potential issues before they impact production performance.
  • Partner with Reliability Engineering to maintain and optimise preventative maintenance plans, task lists, and work orders within SAP CMMS.
  • Continually evaluate maintenance activities, recommending improvements to maximise equipment uptime, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Support maintenance planning activities including scheduling, issuing, and closing work orders.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Assist with the introduction of new equipment, including validation, qualification, acceptance testing, and implementation of maintenance programs.
  • Analyse equipment-related quality issues and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Work with equipment vendors, contractors, and service providers to support operational requirements.
  • Contribute to Lean, Continuous Improvement, TPM, and equipment optimisation initiatives across the site.
  • Support the training and development of technicians, apprentices, and new team members.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring equipment and work areas meet the highest standards of safety and housekeeping.

What We're Looking For

You are a hands-on technician with a passion for equipment reliability, fault prevention, and continuous improvement. You enjoy solving technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and working with advanced manufacturing technology.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • National Craft Certificate, Mechanical Fitter qualification, Engineering Technician qualification, or equivalent technical/engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a manufacturing environment such as Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Food Manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience working with automated manufacturing or production equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems with exposure to electrical, pneumatic, and automation controls.
  • Experience working with preventative maintenance systems and CMMS platforms such as SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • Exposure to Reliability Engineering, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting equipment validation, qualification, or commissioning activities.
  • Multi-skilled maintenance experience across mechanical and electrical systems.
