Engineman

LB&B Associates Inc. is seeking Engineman Contract Instructors. Positions are contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications and Certifications.

The following minimum qualifications are required for all personnel providing instruction and assessment at any training sites:

Instructor Certification: Shall possess one (1) of the following:

Graduate from the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) (CIN: A-012-0077) (NEC 9502/805A); — OR —

Equivalent instructor training certification such as the Emergency Services Instructor I certification, based on NFPA 1041.

Technical Expertise: A minimum of three (3) years of practical, hands-on technical experience directly related to the subject matter being taught.

Military Training Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience working within a Military Training Environment

Functional Area Certification: Shall possess current and valid instructor certifications(s) relevant to their specific functional area of instruction (e.g., NETC requirements, professional certifications related to the subject matter)

Instructional Competency**:** Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in:

Learning principles and effective instructional practices.

Methods for presenting and delivery course content.

Testing and remediation procedures.

Curriculum management and maintenance.

The effective use of training aids, devices, electronic podiums, Tactical Training Equipment (TTE), and laboratory equipment.

Equipment operation and maintenance procedures associated with the course.

Note: Items ‘b’ and ‘c’ can be concurrent.

Engineman (EN) CI. To qualify as an EN Instructor, candidates shall meet the following requirements:

Prior Experience: Shall be a former Senior (E5 – E9) EN OR Machinist Mate Diesel (MM) with a background in main propulsion systems.

Technical Expertise: Possess comprehensive knowledge in the areas of safety, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the course/systems listed below:

• Tiered Qualification Levels: Candidates shall meet the requirements for either Tier I (Master Level) or Tier II (Journeyman Level) as defined below: Tier I (Master Level): Shall be a qualified EN/MM AND a graduate of all the following courses: LST 41/49 Colt-Pielstick Maintainer (A-652-0323)

• Diesel Engine C School Module 5 (LPD C/P) (A-651-9001)

• USCG ALCO 251C (A-651-3030)

• USCG FBM (A-651-3031)

• Fairbanks Morse Diesel 38ND 8-1/8 (A-652-0450)

Tier II (Journeyman Level): Shall be a qualified EN/MM AND a graduate of at least one (1) of the following courses:

• LST 41/49 Colt-Pielstick Maintainer (A-652-0323)

• Diesel Engine C School Module 5 (LPD C/P) (A-651-9001)

• USCG ALCO 251C, (A-651-3030)

• USCG FBM (A-651-3031)

• Fairbanks Morse Diesel 38ND 8-1/8 (A-652-0450)
