Job Description

The Orchid School is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and experienced Secondary Level English Teacher to join its academic team at KN Gohar Chapter. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language and the ability to deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ language proficiency, critical thinking, and communication skills.

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching English according to the assigned curriculum, preparing students for assessments, and maintaining a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for secondary-level students.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and literature as per the assigned curriculum.
• Develop students’ written and verbal communication skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessment materials.
• Assess students’ academic progress through classwork, homework, quizzes, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback and additional academic support where required.
• Prepare students for examinations and improve their writing and analytical skills.
• Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active student participation.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance and progress.
• Communicate students’ progress and concerns to parents and school management when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a relevant field.
• Previous teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong lesson-planning, assessment, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage students and explain complex concepts effectively.
• Passion for teaching and supporting students’ academic development.
