English Tutor with QTS

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to inspire and support learners in developing their English language skills. Duties

• Deliver engaging and tailored English tutoring sessions to students of various ages and abilities, including those with special educational needs
• Assess individual learning needs and develop personalized lesson plans that promote progress and confidence
• Use effective teaching strategies and resources to enhance understanding of reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting approaches as needed
• Support students in preparing for exams, assessments, or specific language milestones
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress reports, and student achievements
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or school staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student development

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the relevant education system
• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English, especially working with children or young learners
• Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) strategies and accommodations is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills to engage students and collaborate with colleagues and parents
• Strong organizational skills to plan lessons and track student progress effectively
• Passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed in their language development

Pay: £18.78-£35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 30.0 per week
