Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior/Chief Enterprise Architect to define and implement a common Enterprise Architecture framework and IT transformation roadmap across water-sector organizations in Wallonia.

The role will focus on aligning business strategy, IT architecture, data, applications, technology, and governance , while reducing IT complexity and ensuring effective collaboration between different organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and implementation of the Enterprise Architecture framework and repository .
• Develop the IT/System landscape and architecture maps .
• Define Business, Application, Data and Technical Architecture using ArchiMate .
• Establish architecture principles, standards, patterns and governance .
• Develop target architectures and IT transformation roadmaps .
• Ensure compliance with NIS2, GDPR and security requirements.
• Support IT investment prioritization and management decision-making.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, data experts and IT architecture teams.
• Present architecture recommendations to senior management and governance committees .
• Ensure consistency, quality and alignment of all architecture deliverables across the sector.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, IT Architecture or IT Urbanisation.
• Proven experience designing Enterprise Architecture frameworks and transformation roadmaps .
• Strong knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate .
• Experience across business, application, data and technical architecture .
• Strong understanding of IT governance, interoperability, technical debt and IT resilience .
• Experience advising senior management/executive committees .
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working in multi-entity or complex organizations .
