This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a clear path to a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead data transformation and modernization initiatives, including migrating legacy on-premises data warehouses and databases to Snowflake.
- Design scalable data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
- Architect data ingestion, integration, and ELT/ETL pipelines across structured and semi-structured sources.
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, access control, data quality, and metadata management.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and compute cost, including warehouse sizing, clustering, and workload management.
- Partner with business and technical leaders to translate requirements into architectural solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and developers.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies and recommend improvements to the data platform.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions on Snowflake.
- Proven track record leading data transformation and modernization programs, such as legacy-to-cloud migrations.
- Strong expertise in data modeling methods like dimensional modeling, Data Vault, and normalized design.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with ELT/ETL tools such as dbt, Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, or similar.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Must be local to Columbus, OH and able to work on-site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced: Architect).
- Familiarity with Python, orchestration tools like Airflow, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Background in enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF.
Why Apply?
- High-visibility role driving a major data modernization effort.
- Contract-to-hire path to a permanent position.
