Enterprise Messaging Architect

Duration : 6+ months

Compensation : $95 - 130/hr W2 

Location : 100% REMOTE 

Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Messaging Architect to modernize enterprise messaging infrastructure supporting mission-critical, high-performance applications.

This role will lead architecture efforts focused on replacing legacy messaging platforms with modern event-driven and publish/subscribe technologies while improving scalability, resiliency, and ultra-low latency performance.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of enterprise architecture or software engineering experience supporting distributed systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise messaging platforms, including Aeron, PGM, LBM, or multicast messaging.
• Experience modernizing legacy messaging platforms to Pub/Sub or event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of messaging patterns, distributed systems, and low-latency application design.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement enterprise messaging solutions using Aeron , PGM/LBM multicast , and modern messaging technologies.
• Lead modernization of legacy intra-platform messaging to Pub/Sub , message-driven , and event-driven architectures .
• Design scalable, resilient, and ultra-low latency messaging solutions for distributed enterprise environments.
• Partner with application and infrastructure teams to define messaging architecture, standards, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership throughout architecture, implementation, and modernization initiatives.

Preferred Requirements:

• Financial Services experience preferred.
• AWS experience is a plus.
