Enterprise Systems Architect

Role Description The Enterprise Systems Architect at SAF Ingrédients is a part-time, remote role responsible for designing and overseeing the company’s enterprise technology landscape. This role focuses on defining architectural standards, mapping business requirements to technical solutions, and ensuring system scalability, reliability, and security. Day-to-day tasks include creating and maintaining architecture diagrams and documentation, collaborating with engineering and product teams on systems design, and guiding integration between existing and new platforms. The Enterprise Systems Architect will also review solution proposals, perform technical assessments, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize system performance and interoperability. Ongoing responsibilities include monitoring emerging technologies, contributing to long-term IT roadmaps, and supporting implementation teams with architectural guidance and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in System Architecture and Systems Design, with experience creating enterprise-level technical blueprints and standards.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development and Systems Engineering, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams and practical solution design.
• Proficiency in Integration, including designing and implementing interfaces, APIs, and data flows between heterogeneous systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern architectural patterns such as microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and documentation skills, including the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time workload, and prioritize multiple initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience as a systems or enterprise architect is highly beneficial.
