They turn to us for our proven solutions and engineering mindset to manage technology that is predictable, scalable, and reliable.
Clearance Requirement:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Position Overview:
InSequence is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared Systems Engineer with an active CI Polygraph to support the implementation, integration, operation, and continued maturation of an enterprise Software License Management as a Service (SLMaaS) capability within a highly secure government environment.
This role is designed for a technically strong engineer with experience in systems engineering, systems administration, infrastructure, endpoint management, enterprise application support, software deployment, or related technologies who is capable of learning and supporting complex enterprise platforms.
The Systems Engineer will work across infrastructure, endpoint management, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and enterprise application teams to support technologies used for software discovery, inventory, normalization, licensing, compliance, and reporting. The engineer will also support integrations, troubleshoot complex technical issues, evaluate new capabilities, and work directly with technical teams and customer stakeholders to improve visibility across the enterprise IT environment.
Prior Flexera or Software Asset Management (SAM) experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong technical foundation and demonstrated ability to learn complex enterprise technologies will be provided the opportunity to develop hands-on expertise with Flexera and Software Asset Management technologies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Engineering & Enterprise Application Support
- Support the implementation, configuration, operation, and continued development of an enterprise Software License Management as a Service (SLMaaS) capability.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise applications and supporting infrastructure across complex, highly secured IT environments.
- Support software discovery, inventory, and asset visibility across multiple networks and security boundaries.
- Troubleshoot technical issues involving applications, infrastructure, connectivity, agents, data collection, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, integration, reporting, and enterprise asset visibility.
Software Asset Management & Flexera
- Learn, administer, and support Flexera technologies, including FlexNet Manager Suite/Flexera One ITAM, Flexera Data Platform, inventory agents, and associated components.
- Support the deployment and troubleshooting of software inventory agents and the collection, normalization, analysis, and reporting of hardware and software inventory data.
- Support capabilities related to software inventory, usage, technology health, license compliance, and software license positions.
- Develop expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) technologies, processes, and best practices.
Integration, Automation & Security
- Support integrations with enterprise technologies such as ServiceNow, MECM/SCCM, Tenable, Rapid7, Splunk, Azure, AWS, and other data sources.
- Analyze system dependencies, data flows, connectors, APIs, and integration points and support scripting and automation to improve operational processes.
- Design and execute proofs of concept (POCs) to evaluate new technologies, functionality, and integrations and communicate technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, ISSM/ISSO, infrastructure, and engineering teams to support system security, accreditation, ATO, vulnerability management, and technology currency requirements.
Customer & Technical Support
- Collaborate with InSequence personnel, partner teams, and government customer stakeholders to understand requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Participate in technical assessments, requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
