Entry Level Accounting Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the accounting field while contributing to the financial operations of our organization. This role involves supporting the accounting department with daily tasks such as data entry, maintaining financial records, and processing transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry for accounts payable and receivable
• Assist with monthly close processes
• Maintain and update account payable budget weekly.
• Checking and addressing discrepancies in accounts payable
• Handle basic accounting inquiries from employees and clients
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Words.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
• Requires a minimum of a 2 year college degree
