Entry level automotive admin with data entry and inventory

Job Overview
We want to hire a motivated Entry Level Automotive Administrative Assistant with Inventory and Data Entry skills to join our office. Although this position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a shop office, you need to bring a mechanic-like familiarity with automotive components and systems to the table. You will be responsible for supporting daily office operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the work on the shop floor. If you thrive in a detailed and dense record-keeping environment, enjoy working with computers, and are eager to develop your administrative skills within the automotive industry, this position might be perfect for you. We are a drug free workplace and do not allow smoking or vaping on the shop campus.

Duties

• Enter and update vehicle and customer data accurately into databases and filing systems
• Manage and organize electronic and physical filing systems for automotive records and documents
• Assist with order entry processes, ensuring timely processing of parts, service requests, and inventory updates
• Support data collection efforts by compiling information from various sources and preparing reports using pivot tables and Microsoft Excel
• Perform routine clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, transcription, and maintaining office supplies
• Maintain organized records of vehicle histories, service logs, and administrative documentation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and streamline office workflows
• Assist with general office upkeep

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of automotive systems and components is required
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office applications, and familiarity with databases
• Strong data entry skills with accuracy and speed
• Previous call center or data entry experience is preferred
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, record keeping, and data management
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and caliper measurements accurately for inventory and order development and processing
• Effective communication skills in person and on the phone to support team coordination and customer service interactions
• Demonstrated ability to remember and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
