Entry-Level Benefits Advisor

CANDIDATE-FACING JOB DESCRIPTION

Starting from another industry is fine. This position is designed for someone who wants to learn benefits, client communication, and enrollment from the ground up.

YOUR FIRST 30 DAYS

1. Learn the products

You will train on benefit options, client conversations, documentation, compliance basics, and the systems used to manage applications.

2. Watch the process

You will see how experienced team members identify client needs, explain coverage, answer questions, and move an application forward.

3. Begin working with clients

With coaching, you will meet with clients, review available options, provide clear explanations, and help organize enrollment information.

4. Build consistency

You will develop a routine for follow-up, recordkeeping, relationship management, and ongoing product knowledge.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Strong communication. A professional attitude. Comfort using basic computer tools. The ability to stay organized and follow through. Most importantly, we want someone coachable who is willing to learn.

Insurance experience is not required. Customer service, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, call-center, or sales experience can be useful.

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

$60,000-$75,000 per year

Work location: In person in Chicago.
