(Entry Level) Commissioning Engineer (Marine/ Electrical Engineering)

Job Scope:

• Plan and coordinate commissioning activities for hull equipment and systems.
• Ensure all construction activities are completed before inspection and commissioning.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors and internal teams to ensure commissioning schedules are met.
• Supervise and monitor on-site inspection, testing, commissioning and start-up activities.
• Prepare commissioning procedures, guidelines, checklists and relevant documentation.
• Identify, troubleshoot and follow up on machinery, equipment and commissioning issues.
• Ensure OEMs and contractors comply with contractual, quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinate works with other trades and attend progress meetings with customers.
• Monitor commissioning progress and provide regular updates during HAT meetings.
• Maintain accurate commissioning records, reports, site observations and testing documentation.
• Conduct regular site audits and ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices.
• Assist in identifying required tools and equipment for commissioning and coordinate procurement when necessary.
• Review and improve the use of tools and equipment to ensure safety and work efficiency.
• Develop and update Risk Assessments (RA) and conduct regular safety briefings for supervisors and workers.
• Ensure all safety procedures and precautionary measures are strictly followed throughout the commissioning process.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Offshore Engineering or related disciplines.
• Naval Institute training/ certification will be an advantage.
• Candidates with shipboard experience or 3 years' relevant experience in a similar capacity are preferred.
