Entry-Level Construction Designer Assistant

Experience: No professional design experience required

About the Position

Kingdom’s Contracting & Roofing is looking for a creative, motivated individual with a natural eye for design and great taste to join our growing team!

We are not necessarily looking for someone with years of design experience or a degree. We are looking for someone who has a passion for beautiful spaces, understands what looks good, pays attention to details, and is excited to learn.

This is an entry-level position where you will work directly alongside our designer, receive hands-on training, and develop valuable skills in residential and commercial construction design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interior and exterior design concepts for residential and commercial projects.

• Help select paint colors, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures, and finishes.

• Create mood boards and gather design inspiration.

• Research materials, products, and current design trends.

• Assist with organizing material selections and design presentations.

• Communicate with vendors and help source products.

• Participate in design meetings and project walkthroughs.

• Learn design software and assist with layouts and presentations.

• Support the design team with daily tasks and project coordination.

Who We're Looking For

• Someone with excellent taste and a natural eye for design.

• Creative, detail-oriented, and organized.

• Passionate about home design, decorating, architecture, and beautiful spaces.

• Willing to learn and receive feedback.

• Comfortable using computers and learning new software.

• Motivated, dependable, and professional.

• Someone who takes initiative and brings fresh ideas.

• No previous design experience or degree required!

What We Offer

• Hands-on training with an experienced designer.

• Opportunity to learn the construction and design industry.

• Real-world experience working on residential and commercial projects.

• A creative and collaborative work environment.

• Opportunities for professional development and career growth.

Who Should Apply?

If you're the person everyone asks for decorating advice, you love putting together beautiful spaces, enjoy picking colors and finishes, or spend your free time looking at home design inspiration, we want to meet you!

You don't need to know how to use professional design software yet. We can teach you the technical skills, but we're looking for someone who already has creativity, good taste, and a genuine passion for design.
