You will work alongside experienced Construction Managers and company leadership while learning the systems, processes, and responsibilities required to independently manage construction projects.
This is an active, field-based leadership development position. You will gain exposure to construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement, inspections, budgeting, client communication, quality control, and project closeout.
We are looking for individuals who are dependable, organized, eager to learn, and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities.

- Assist Construction Managers with daily oversight of active construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
- Participate in daily site walks to monitor workmanship, progress, cleanliness, and safety.
- Learn construction sequencing from site preparation and structural framing through MEP systems, finishes, inspections, and closeout.
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts, missing materials, and field coordination issues.
- Support project mobilization, site logistics, temporary facilities, and jobsite readiness.
Scheduling & Project Management
- Assist with developing, maintaining, and updating construction schedules.
- Monitor project milestones and communicate potential delays.
- Help coordinate inspections, subcontractor availability, and upcoming work.
- Maintain accurate project information within Buildertrend.
- Participate in weekly project and production meetings.
- Follow established company procedures for project documentation, change orders, and schedule management.
Procurement & Financial Awareness
- Support material procurement, purchase order tracking, and delivery coordination.
- Learn construction cost codes, job budgets, and basic cost control.
- Assist with reviewing subcontractor scopes, agreements, and project requirements.
- Identify potential scope gaps and communicate discrepancies to project leadership.
- Develop an understanding of project profitability and how field decisions affect budgets.
Client Communication & Quality Control
- Participate in homeowner meetings and project updates.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Assist with quality inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.
- Help ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.
- Support timely resolution of project concerns under senior management guidance.
Built To Last Construction Management Training Program
One of the defining features of this opportunity is our mandatory in-house Construction Management Training Program.
All Entry-Level Construction Managers will be required to participate in and successfully complete BTL's internal Construction Management training course.
Training combines formal instruction with hands-on field experience, including:
- Construction management fundamentals and project lifecycle
- Reading drawings, specifications, and scope documents
- Construction sequencing and trade coordination
- Buildertrend project management software
- Project scheduling and milestone management
- Budget awareness, cost codes, and financial accountability
- Subcontractor management and procurement
- Quality control, inspections, and jobsite safety
- Client communication and professional leadership
- Change orders, documentation, and project closeout
Participants will receive guidance from experienced Construction Managers and company leadership as they develop the ability to independently manage projects.
Successful completion of the training program is required for advancement. Career progression is based on demonstrated performance, leadership, accountability, schedule attainment, project profitability, and client satisfaction.
