Entry-Level Electro-Mechanical Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will work under the direct supervision of senior technicians and engineers to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of integrated mechanical and electrical systems. This is an ideal position for a technical graduate eager to jumpstart their career in industrial automation, manufacturing, or equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in performing scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, sensors, actuators, pumps, and automated machinery.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, replace worn components (belts, bearings, gears, switches), and reassemble units properly.
• Study and follow technical manuals, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints to execute repairs and installations.
• Gain exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), basic control panels, and automation systems under the guidance of senior staff.
• Use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, ohmmeters, and hand tools to test electrical circuits and verify system tolerances.
• Log maintenance activities, report parts used, and maintain accurate records using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or paper logs.
• Strictly adhere to company safety policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and standard operating guidelines (OSHA / local safety regulations).

About you

• 0 to 2 years of hands-on experience (internships, capstone projects, or technical workshop experience will be considered).
• Basic understanding of electrical theory (AC/DC circuits) and mechanical principles (pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission).
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing instruments (e.g., multimeter).
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new technical concepts.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently when assigned structured tasks.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and work in an industrial plant environment.
