What they need
Looking to get your foot in the door in the skilled trades?
At Sabre Elevator Inc., based right here in Ayr, we specialize in residential elevators and accessibility lifts across Ontario. We are looking for an energetic, hardworking individual to join our installation crews. You don't need a ticket, a stack of credentials, or years of elevator experience for this role. If you are mechanically inclined, like working with your hands, and want to learn a specialized trade from the ground up, we want to hear from you.
This is a true entry-level position. You will work directly with our lead technicians, learning how to install, troubleshoot, and maintain home elevator systems, with plenty of room to grow your career with us.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hands-On Installation: Assist our lead techs in installing and assembling various types of home elevators and lifts on residential job sites.
- Learn the Ropes: Get hands-on training in basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the work area organized, safe, and up to industry standards.
- Customer Service: Represent the company professionally when working in clients' homes, answering basic questions, and leaving the site cleaner than you found it.
- Documentation: Help track the parts used and the daily work completed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical Aptitude: You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be the kind of person who likes figuring out how things work, fixing cars, or doing hands-on projects.
- Eagerness to Learn: You can follow instructions, take constructive feedback, and want to build a long-term career in a niche trade.
- Problem Solver: You have good common sense and can think on your feet when things don't go exactly to plan.
- Communication: Clear English skills to safely communicate with your crew and our customers.
- Requirements: A valid G Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility: Willing to put in the hours and be on call when necessary to get the job done.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
