Entry Level Laborer

Responsibilities

• Aid in general contractor and lead carpenter job site work
• Assist with the operation of woodworking machines such as saws, planers, and other woodworking equipment to produce millwork and wood components
• Handle materials safely using material handling equipment like forklifts and tape measures to ensure precise placement and movement of wood materials
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood parts according to specifications
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to support machining processes and ensure accuracy in production
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols during machine operation and material handling
• Perform basic measurements using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality control standards

Experience

• Prior construction experience is a plus but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
• Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for measuring and calculating dimensions in machining or woodworking projects
• Hands-on experience with woodworking machines or construction production is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be available for all new team members
• Strong mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings will help you succeed in this role
