What they need
Entry-Level Machine Operator – CNC Training Provided
Rock Krawler Suspension – Latham, NY
Full-Time | $19.00/Hour | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:45 PM
No CNC Experience Required – We Will Train the Right Person
Want to learn CNC machining and get your start in manufacturing?
Rock Krawler Suspension is looking for a motivated, dependable person to join our production machine shop. You do not need previous CNC experience. If you're mechanically inclined, comfortable working with your hands, pay attention to detail, and are willing to learn, we'll teach you how to operate our equipment and produce parts correctly.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone interested in manufacturing, machining, automotive performance, or simply learning a skilled trade.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work with our production team to manufacture components used in Rock Krawler suspension systems, lift kits, control arms, shocks, and coilovers.
Your day will include:
- Operating CNC lathes and CNC mills using established programs
- Loading raw material into machines and removing completed parts
- Using a bandsaw to cut steel and aluminum to specified lengths
- Following established machine setups and production procedures
- Measuring and inspecting finished parts to make sure they're correct
- Using basic measuring equipment and hand tools
- Monitoring machines during production and recognizing when something doesn't look or sound right
- Keeping your machines and work area clean and organized
- Working with the rest of the production team to meet daily goals
You will not be expected to program CNC machines. The programs and processes are already established. Your responsibility is to follow those processes and produce good parts consistently.
Production Means Consistency
This is a production manufacturing position.
That means you'll often make the same part repeatedly—and doing that accurately and efficiently is the job.
Making one good part isn't enough. We need the first part, the 50th part, and the 500th part to all be right.
The right person for this position takes satisfaction in getting into a rhythm, keeping machines running, catching problems before they become bad parts, and seeing a stack of quality finished components at the end of the day.
Speed matters. Accuracy matters more. As you gain experience, you'll learn how to achieve both.
Who We're Looking For
We care more about your attitude, reliability, and ability to learn than whether you've worked in a machine shop before.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Show up to work consistently and on time
- Enjoy working with your hands
- Have basic mechanical aptitude
- Can accurately read a tape measure
- Pay attention to details
- Can follow instructions without cutting corners
- Are comfortable performing repetitive work
- Can stay focused throughout the workday
- Take pride in doing a job correctly
- Want to learn new equipment and manufacturing skills
- Work well as part of a small team
Previous experience in automotive work, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, maintenance, warehouse operations, or other hands-on jobs can be helpful, but it is not required.
If you've never touched a CNC machine before but you're dependable, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn, we still want you to apply.
Physical Requirements
This is an active manufacturing position. You must be able to:
- Stand and move throughout the workday
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Handle raw materials and finished components
- Work safely around CNC machines, bandsaws, metal chips, coolant, and normal machine-shop conditions
Pay, Schedule & Benefits
Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–4:45 PM
- Full-time, consistent daytime schedule
- No nights
- No weekends
- Paid vacation
- 401(k) retirement plan
About Rock Krawler
Rock Krawler Suspension manufactures high-performance suspension systems and components for the off-road industry.
The parts you make aren't practice pieces. They're real production components that become control arms, suspension systems, shocks, coilovers, and other products that are shipped to customers and installed on vehicles.
You'll get to see raw steel and aluminum come into the machine shop and leave as finished components that become part of a complete Rock Krawler product.
Ready to Learn?
You don't need years of machining experience to get started here.
Bring us reliability, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. We'll teach you the equipment and the process.
If you're looking for a steady Monday–Friday job where you can learn CNC manufacturing, work with your hands, and build real products, apply today.
