Entry Level Machinist

Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for machining a variety of super-precision metal parts using a variety of machines, precision tools and gauges to exacting specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machine(s) to ensure precise conformance of part as specified by engineering print
• Maintain tools as required
• Maintain inspection logs, calibration logs and records
• Maintain professional working relationships
• Manage work load to meet production requirements
• Other duties as assigned by Foreman

Skills & Experience

• Working knowledge & understanding of materials and metallurgy
• Some machine shop experience working with mills and lathes desirable, but not required
• Ability and experience reading detailed prints
• Ability to use high-precision inspection and measurement instruments

EDUCATION

• High-School Diploma or equivalent
