Entry Level Marketing - Leadership Development

Volta Ventures is expanding its commercial sales and marketing campaigns across Birmingham, with a particular focus on our growing face-to-face customer acquisition channels.

We're looking for ambitious individuals who want to build practical experience in marketing, customer acquisition and team leadership while contributing to the growth of our commercial operations.

At Volta Ventures, we believe strong leadership starts with understanding the fundamentals. Everyone begins by gaining hands-on experience, working directly with customers, understanding how campaigns operate and developing the communication and commercial skills required to perform in a face-to-face environment.

From there, individuals who demonstrate consistent performance, initiative and leadership potential may have the opportunity to take on greater responsibilities in team development and campaign coordination.

The Role

You'll begin with hands-on training and experience across our in-person sales and marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on direct customer engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with customers through face-to-face marketing campaigns
• Representing established brands professionally
• Understanding customer needs and communicating relevant products and services
• Supporting the delivery and growth of commercial customer acquisition campaigns
• Developing practical sales, communication and customer service skills
• Working towards individual and team performance objectives
• Participating in regular training and leadership development

This is a field-based, customer-facing sales and marketing position rather than a desk-based or digital marketing role.

Your Development

Our approach to leadership development is built around practical experience and demonstrated performance.

Stage 1 - Customer Engagement & Campaign Delivery

Build a strong foundation in customer acquisition, campaign operations, communication and commercial performance.

Stage 2 - Team Development & Leadership

As you progress, develop additional skills in mentoring, coaching, training and team coordination, with opportunities to support the development of others.

Stage 3 - Campaign & Team Management

Individuals who demonstrate the required capability may have opportunities to take on broader responsibilities in team performance, campaign coordination and the continued growth of our commercial operations.

Progression is based on individual performance, capability and business requirements.

Experience in retail, hospitality, events, sport, customer service or other people-focused environments can be beneficial, but isn't essential.
