Entry Level Small Engine Mechanic

Are you mechanically inclined, dependable, and interested in turning your skills into a career? Iron Horse Equipment is looking for an entry-level small engine mechanic to join our growing service department.

Previous professional experience is not required. We’re willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to learn the outdoor power equipment industry.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine maintenance on lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing small engines
• Replace belts, blades, tires, filters, batteries, and other components
• Assemble and prepare new equipment for customers
• Complete equipment inspections and safety checks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Learn to service equipment from leading brands such as Scag, Stihl, Toro, Gravely, Ariens, Husqvarna, Wright, and Kioti

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet
• Valid driver’s license
• Automotive, powersports, landscaping, farm, or equipment experience is helpful—but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
