Entry Level Staff Accountant

Job Summary

NextGen Heavy Haulers is looking for an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and looking to build their accounting experience in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with accounts receivable
• Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping
• Help ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Review financial information for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience with Excel and QuickBooks is a plus
