Ayres Associates’ structural engineers have proudly served government and private clients for more than 50 years. We are seeking an individual who is eager to learn and has the desire to become a well-rounded structural engineer. You will join a respected structural engineering group who will provide you with opportunities to work on a variety of projects.

Join Ayres – a USA TODAY Top Workplace recognized in both 2025 and 2026 – where people-first leadership, collaboration, and professional growth create an environment where great teams do their best work. We’re also excited to celebrate a recent regional honor as a 2026 Northeast Wisconsin Top Workplace, a testament to the strength of our people and our culture.

On any given day, you will:

  • Design a wide variety of new buildings and modifications to existing buildings.

  • Perform structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structural elements utilizing structural design software.
  • Prepare structural drawings and check plan details.
  • Research and apply code requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications for buildings and other structures.

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.
  • Passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam (FE).
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

  • Employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) and 401K with company match.
  • PTO, paid holidays including two floating holidays, and a flexible work schedule.
