POSITION: ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate environmental professional to join the site-based team at Hillside Meat Processors. You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting environmental compliance across abattoir and meat-processing operations. The position focuses on wastewater and solid waste management, pollution prevention, environmental inspections, monitoring activities, and maintaining environmental records in accordance with applicable legislation, environmental approvals, and company procedures. The role also involves data analysis and reporting, as well as monitoring contractor compliance with environmental requirements.

What you can look forward to:

• Environmental auditing and impact/risk assessments ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies
• Identifying opportunities to improve the development and execution of all site wastewater and water policies
• Investigating environmental incidents and supporting compliance activities.
• Joining a proactive onsite management team
• Providing advice and strategies for environmental corrective, preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance.
• Produce detailed high-quality reports regarding a range of environmental operations.

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position within, within meat/food processing environments.
• Experience in environmental compliance within meat/food processing environments. Including
• Understanding of environmental impacts associated with meat processing operations with relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, supported by proficient Microsoft Office skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• In depth understanding of OH&S regulations.
• Drivers License.
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol.
• Able to work in Narrogin, WA and prepared to travel to other sites as required

SALARY: $79,000-$85,000
POSITION: Full Time
