Environmental Engineer 5

Overview

We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to support water and environmental infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in water conveyance, infrastructure design, and technical coordination, with the ability to manage project tasks, guide engineering teams, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering tasks and coordinate project phases to support timely, efficient delivery.
• Support the design of water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and environmental remediation projects.
• Review engineering designs and technical reports for accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct site assessments, technical studies, and water quality analyses to support design decisions.
• Update engineering criteria and resolve technical challenges as project needs evolve.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and professional presentations.
• Assist with proposals and recommend engineering solutions based on client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to maintain project progress.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Supervise assigned team members and support their professional development.

Required and Desired Skillsets

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure, conveyance systems, or environmental engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software, including 3D and 4D tools.
• Proficiency in standard office software and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to lead technical tasks, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor junior staff.
• Willingness to travel as required by project needs.
