Environmental Officer

About the role

Join our growing exploration team as ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER to implement proper segregation, storage, handling, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, and monitor environmental management across exploration activities in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Implement proper segregation, storage, handling, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
• Monitor proper management of used oil, contaminated materials, drilling wastes, domestic wastes, and other wastes generated during exploration.
• Conduct routine inspections of drill pads, access roads, camps, stockpile/storage areas, waterways, waste areas, and other project facilities.
• Ensure that appropriate measures are implemented to prevent or minimize environmental impacts.
• Ensure that all exploration activities comply with applicable DENR, EMB, MGB, LGU, and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with environmental permits, conditions, commitments, and approved work programs.
• Assist in preparing requirements for regulatory inspections, audits, and monitoring activities.
• Maintain complete and updated environmental records, monitoring results, inspection reports, photographs, permits, and compliance documents.
• Prepare regular environmental reports and updates for Management and relevant regulatory agencies.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Biology, Forestry, Geology, Engineering, or other related environmental fields.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in environmental management, environmental monitoring, environmental compliance, or a similar position.
• PCO Certified.
• Experience in the mining or mineral exploration industry is an advantage.
• Experience in conducting environmental monitoring and preparing environmental reports is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating with MGB, EMB/DENR, LGUs, and other regulatory agencies is highly desirable.
