Planning & Environmental Officer - Renewable Energy

Diverse Portfolio - Solar, Onshore Wind, BESS

Salary Range: €60,000 - 70,000 DOE + wider package

Piper Maddox are working alongside one of Ireland's leading energy companies to hire for a key role within their renewable energy division. Our client has been a mainstay in this sector for close to 30 years and they are one of the largest contributors of clean energy across the country.

This company are a fully fledged independent power producer (IPP) who have a demonstrable track record in taking projects through development and construction, finishing up with an operational asset. You can therefore rest assured that you will see your projects come to fruition. You would be contributing to a diverse portfolio of Solar, Onshore Wind, and Battery Storage projects.

Our client is able to provide an exciting blend of an excellent multi-GW development pipeline, as well as the peace of mind to know that you are a part of a very stable entity. This company has industry leading funding and a highly experienced team as well as strong relationships with reputable external consultants.

The next step in their growth plans is an addition to their existing planning function who are crucial in securing key planning & environmental consents throughout the development process. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• The preparation and submission of a range of planning applications and EIA reports across the different technology types.
• Ensuring compliance and co-ordination for planning requirements, reporting on legislation changes and planning policy updates.
• The management of external stakeholders including planning consultants, as well as local & national government contacts.
• Representing the company & projects at public consultation events alongside the wider development team.

This role would be a good fit for someone with between 3-5 years of planning experience in the renewable energy industry, or transferable adjacent sectors.
