Environmental Service Aide

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Ensure all surfaces are sanitized effectively to prevent the spread of germs and maintain infection control standards
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to facility protocols
• Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability
• Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to protect yourself and others
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisory staff
• Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and supply usage as required

Skills

• Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is highly preferred for efficiency and familiarity with cleaning protocols
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety standards in a healthcare or similar environment is a plus

Pay: $20.35-$24.47 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 24.0 per week
