Environmental Services & Grounds Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of all clinic buildings, grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, entrances, and other assigned areas.
• Perform routine environmental services, housekeeping, cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and related duties in accordance with clinic policies and healthcare standards.
• Maintain clinic grounds through mowing, trimming, snow and ice removal, landscaping, litter collection, and seasonal maintenance activities.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and grounds; identify and report maintenance needs, safety hazards, equipment issues, and environmental concerns.
• Safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, groundskeeping equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Assist with facility support activities including room setup, moving furniture and equipment, and supporting clinic operations as needed.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental services procedures and practices.
• Handle cleaning chemicals, waste materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain inventories of environmental services and groundskeeping supplies and notify supervisors of replenishment needs.
• Support compliance with OSHA, CDC, environmental health, safety, and other applicable healthcare regulations and standards.
• Must have a working knowledge of and adhere to all tribal ordinances, policies, proce dures, EPA permitting processes, THPO permitting processes, and any other regulations applicable to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

· High School Diploma or equivalent. Required

· Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with a good driving record. Required

· Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds or more, move equipment and supplies, and perform physically demanding work including bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, snow removal, grounds maintenance, and other assigned duties in varying weather conditions. Required

· Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial services, groundskeeping, maintenance, or a related field. Preferred

· Experience working in a healthcare facility or other regulated environment. Preferred

· Knowledge of cleaning procedures, disinfection practices, safe chemical handling, and general facility maintenance principles.

· Ability to safely operate housekeeping and grounds maintenance equipment.

· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.

· Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional working relationships with patients, visitors, and staff.

· Ability to operate clinic vehicles, lawn care equipment, and snow removal equipment safely and responsibly.
