Environmental Services Assistant Supervisor

The Village at Morrisons Cove, a continuing care retirement community located in Martinsburg, PA is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Environmental Services Assistant Supervisor to lead our cleaning and sanitation teams in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will oversee daily custodial operations across various facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards. Your leadership will inspire team members to deliver exceptional service while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. This position will work closely with the current Environmental Services Supervisor to:

• Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff to ensure all areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to meet operational goals.
• Conduct training sessions on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation protocols
• Complete payroll processes within the department
• Interview/hire Environment Services Staff
• Oversee industrial and commercial cleaning activities, including janitorial services, laundry operations, and hospitality-related housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental health standards during all custodial activities.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper maintenance.
• Will take an active role in maintaining equipment, and the interior and exterior upkeep and repairs of building and grounds.
• Will assist with snow removal during winter months
• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or sanitation management within industrial or commercial settings.
• Strong staff supervision and team management skills with previous supervising experience.
• Excellent communication skills for effective managerial oversight and team coordination.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to cleaning, sanitation, and industrial operations.
• Ability to lead multiple teams in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in managing janitorial services, laundry operations, or hospitality housekeeping is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on motivating teams and fostering a positive work environment.

This is a full time, primarily Monday-Friday daylight position that may require occasional off shifts if necessary.
