As an Environmental Services Supervisor on our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment — just like our patients have come to expect. In this role, you will supervise the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department, acting as a technical resource for team members. You will implement goals consistent with your assigned units and provide effective utilization of personnel, policies, and procedures in order to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 3:00PM – 11:30PM, including every other weekend.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Supervise caregivers in daily operations and evaluate performance.

• Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality cleaning and maintenance is being performed.

• Maintain staffing levels and approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.

• Ensure cross coverage.

• Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.

• Improve procedures and processes.

• Analyze workflow and procedures and recommend changes, as appropriate.

• Provide recommendations to improve speed, quality and effectiveness of the department procedures.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• One year of experience as a Work Leader, Team Lead, Project Manager or Supervisor OR a Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience managing direct reports

• Environmental Services and/or housekeeping experience

• Experience with computer programs (e.g., Excel, Word and Workday)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment\
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
• Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
• Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
• Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Light Work - Exerting 11 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
