Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of, corridors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent contamination or accidents.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, floors, medical equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
• Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and steam cleaners efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Manage waste disposal properly by segregating recyclables from biohazardous waste in compliance with health regulations.
• Support infection control efforts through regular sanitation checks and reporting any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or similar environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to chemical handling, manual handling, and workplace safety is essential.
• Experience with infection prevention and control practices is a strong advantage.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices; physical stamina for standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts.
• Skilled in the use of cleaning equipment such as floor care machines, vacuums, mops, and disinfectant sprayers.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward patients, staff, and visitors.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures accurately.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
