Environmental Support Officer

Your new role:
Join the Environmental Services team at Princess Alexandra Hospital and play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will work across clinical, public and administration areas, following infection control and workplace safety standards while working as part of a supportive team. You will:

Complete general and specialised cleaning across the hospital

Clean patient rooms, bathrooms, treatment areas and public spaces

Safely handle clinical waste and soiled linen

Use cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals correctly

About you:
You are a reliable and hardworking person who takes pride in doing a job well. You understand the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare environment and bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team. You will have:

The Process:
This Talent Pool collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual and temporary opportunities. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and should there be an employment opportunity you will be contacted to discuss the opportunity further. Additional selection processes (interview, reference checks and pre-employment checks) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required.

As part of the talent pool, you may be offered casual or temporary employment opportunities that become available based on the Suitability Pool

A pool will generally continue for a 12-month period

If you are placed in the talent pool, you may be offered a position within the relevant time period, however your appointment to a position is not guaranteed
