ME is seeking an Environmental Technician to work on a diverse variety of environmental assessment, engineering, and remediation projects for a wide variety of clients. R

ESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

O- btaining and maintaining necessary SCDES and EPA certifications for lead and asbestos assessment O- btaining and maintaining 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour annual refresher P- erforming field work independently, to include air sampling, groundwater sampling, vapor sampling, periodic air monitoring, operation of XRF equipment, etc. This will include lead and asbestos sampling/testing. P- erforming all aspects of environmental assessments to include Phase I, II, and III. This includes field work, historical research, and report writing to satisfy ASTM requirements. P- erforming spill release and cleanup activities, to possibly include petroleum, PCB, and/or hazardous waste. This will necessitate maintaining OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certifications. I- nteracting with and maintaining client relationships. I- nteracting with and maintaining vendor and subcontractor relationships. D- rafting all aspects of asbestos and lead assessment reports. O- versight of drilling activities (to be performed by others). A- ssessment work related to underground storage tanks and petroleum. Documentation of such events.

UALIFICATIONS

H- igh school diploma is required; Associate's degree in a technical field is desired. Experience in lieu of education will be considered. C- omfortable with outdoor work in all seasons. A- ble to lift 35lbs of equipment and materials. W- illing to work independently and proficient at time management. P- roficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. V- alid driver's license and acceptable driving record. I

e are growing! Newly created position. Your skills will be utilized to ensure managers have accurate and timely information on all projects. THe position will be our "go-to" for all accounting surrounding a project(s) life cycle. R

ESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

P- roject accounting: (Main responsibility) P

• • roject (Contract) setup for medium-sized and/or moderate-level complex projects A- ssist the Marketing department with tracking project opportunities A- ssists with preparation of insurance (COI's), and other correspondence M- aintain job files (both hard files and electronic), update company-based programs C- ommunicate with Managers and Owners regarding invoicing questions, reviews, and revisions P- repare invoice billing packages for clients, including support documents I- dentify and record unpaid contract billings, following up on any delinquent accounts receivable and/or unbilled costs M
• aintain general ledger of subsidiary R
• eview aging Accounts Receivable and follow up on payment/billing discrepancies status with client A
• ccounts Payable support for main company and subsidiary E- xtra unique tasks if required I

DEAL QUALIFICATIONS

M- inimum associate degree in accounting with 2-4+ years' experience in a business office, or multiple years as project accountant S- trong attention to detail and possess excellent personality, organizational, and communication skills H- ighly organized and flexible as interruptions are the norm E- xcellent time management skills A- bility to manage ongoing multiple projects W- illingness to assist others when needed with a positive attitude R

EQUIRED EXPERIENCE

P- rior Project Accounting experience a plus D- emonstrated experience in a similar position in a related environment using accounting software (we use QuickBooks and Deltek Vision) S- trong Microsoft Excel knowledge P- rior job cost billing experience a plus P- assion to always seek efficiencies, improvements to current processes T

arget salary range is $60,000/yr to $72,000/yr based on prior experience and skillset. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in our Columbia, SC office.
