About the role

Zona Restoration is looking for a customer-focused Estimator & Environmental Testing Specialist to join our team. This hybrid position combines environmental inspections and testing with estimating and sales.

Most of your work will focus on environmental services, including mold and asbestos inspections and testing. You’ll also inspect properties, prepare competitive estimates, present recommendations to clients, and help them choose the right services for their needs. Projects may also include water damage and repair or reconstruction work.

This could be a strong fit for someone with mold or asbestos experience who wants to move out of a full-time field role, take on more client interaction, and leave on-call shifts behind.

What you’ll do

• Inspect residential and commercial properties and meet with clients.
• Conduct moisture inspections and surveys in areas affected by water.
• Collect mold samples and perform mold testing.
• Conduct asbestos and lead testing in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Prepare and present estimates for water, mold, asbestos, and other environmental services.
• Occasionally estimate repair and reconstruction projects.
• Explain findings and recommendations clearly so clients understand their options.
• Follow up with clients, answer questions, and help close projects.
• Identify additional services that may benefit the client and earn bonuses through our incentive program.
• Maintain accurate inspection notes, photos, test documentation, and estimates.

What we’re looking for

• Experience with mold, asbestos, environmental testing, or restoration is strongly preferred.
• Previous sales, estimating, or customer-facing experience is a major plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to document findings accurately.
• Confidence working independently, managing appointments, and driving throughout the Phoenix area.
• A professional, reliable approach to representing Zona Restoration.
• Relevant licenses, certifications, or training for environmental testing work are preferred, as applicable.
