About Exus Renewables North America

Exus Renewables North America is a leading independent developer and operator of utility-scale renewable energy projects, dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions across the United States. With offices in Pittsburgh, New York, and Albuquerque, and over 100 employees in the US, Exus NA focuses on developing, repowering, and managing renewable energy assets, contributing to the nation's decarbonization efforts and driving sustainable growth in the U.S. renewable energy sector.

The Site Manager will serve as Exus’ primary on-site representative and supports the delivery of renewable energy construction, repowering and major component replacement programs on behalf of Exus and its clients. The Site Manager provides field-level oversight of contractors, renewable energy equipment suppliers, consultants, inspectors, and other project participants. The Site Manager is responsible for monitoring safety, quality, schedule, cost, contractual compliance, site coordination, documentation, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout. The Site Manager identifies project risks, verifies field progress, maintains complete and accurate project records, and escalates material issues to the Program Management team with clear recommendations for resolution.

This role will work primarily at assigned project sites initially in the state of Oklahoma, with per diem and scheduled time off for travel to the employee’s home location, as applicable.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as Exus’ primary on-site representative and coordinate day-to-day interfaces among the client, contractors, equipment suppliers, consultants, consultants, inspectors, utilities, landowners, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance against contracts, scopes, drawings, specifications, schedules, permits, safety plans, quality requirements, and owner expectations; document and escalate material deviations.
  • Lead or participate in site coordination, construction, schedule, safety, quality, and issue-resolution meetings while maintaining clear communication with the Program Management team.
  • Monitor actual progress against approved schedules; verify reported quantities, installed work, milestones, and labor and equipment levels; and identify delays, constraints, critical-path impacts, and required recovery actions.
  • Review change requests, notices, time-and-material records, payment support, and potential cost or schedule exposures; provide field documentation and recommendations to project controls and commercial personnel.
  • Promote Exus safety expectations and monitor contractor compliance with safety, environmental, permit, and site requirements, recognizing that each contractor remains responsible for its personnel, work execution, and means and methods.
  • Coordinate inspections and monitor implementation of quality plans, test records, nonconformances, corrective actions, deficiencies, and punch-list completion.
  • Prepare accurate daily and weekly reports and maintain organized, contemporaneous records of activities, photographs, deliveries, inspections, issues, notices, decisions, risks, and significant communications.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable contracts, exhibits, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Request information and documentation required under applicable project agreements and promptly document deficiencies, delays, safety concerns, quality issues, and contractual noncompliance.
  • Support commissioning, energization, performance testing, turnover, closeout, as-built documentation, warranties, spare parts, training materials, demobilization, restoration, and final handoff to operations or the client.
  • Lead the timely resolution of field issues and escalate matters that require management, commercial, technical, or legal direction.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in construction management, project management, field engineering, owner's representation, or renewable energy project delivery.
  • 5+ years of field experience supporting utility-scale wind, solar, battery storage, transmission, substation, or comparable infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects from mobilization and construction through commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
  • Proven experience administering or supporting EPC, construction, equipment supply, or major service agreements.
  • Proven experience reviewing schedules, contractor reports, change requests, payment support, quality documentation, and project closeout deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or comparable project systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Experience with utility-scale wind, solar, battery storage, repowering, or major component replacement projects.
  • Experience working in an owner's-representative or program-management capacity.
  • Experience working with independent engineers, lenders' engineers, utilities, equipment suppliers, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction certification.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
