Epic Certified Senior System Administrator

This position is open to remote candidates who reside in one of the following states only: Nevada, Texas, Arizona, Utah, Florida, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, or California. Due to business operations, tax registration, and employment compliance requirements, we are only able to hire individuals who currently live and work in these states. Position Purpose Under the general direction of the Department Manager/Director, this position provides the configuration, installation, maintenance, backup, and support for enterprise application and Systems.

Nature and Scope This position is responsible for a complex Healthcare System application environment that changes rapidly to meet the changing requirements of a growing enterprise of applications. This position is challenged with providing a reliable, flexible, and cost-effective system environment.

The Applications Administrator performs requirement’s gathering to understand the needs of each request to accurately assess configuration and total cost of ownership. The Applications Administrator will coordinate the install of hardware, where applicable, operating system where applicable and application as requested for any application. Once installed, this position performs complex system configurations such as: monitoring, patching, upgrades, resources to ensure proper operation, as well as backup of data files to ensure continuity of services. Works with vendors to assist support activities such as: disaster and recovery process, application patching, license yields, applications access, application growth.

• Expertise in the Microsoft Windows server administration

• Expertise in your chosen virtualization platform such as Citrix XenServer, VMware ESXi, or Microsoft Hyper-V

• Experience with hardware or software load balancing solutions such as F5 Big-IP or Citrix Netscaler

• Working knowledge of:

• Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) administration

• Network protocols and functionality including TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP, and HTTP

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and Printing

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: Care Everywhere

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace Web and Interconnect

Minimum Qualifications Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Name Description Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Requires Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Computer Science. Requires knowledge of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and database development. Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.

Experience Requires at least eight years’ experience working in client/server computing environment and minimum of eight years’ experience working with W-intel-based servers and server management. Requires five years’ experience as a Systems or Applications Administrator. Background in healthcare environment is preferred.

License(s) None

Certification(s) MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA preferred.
